Itinerary, Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva – Bukhara – Nurata – Yurt Camp – Samarkand – Tashkent

Day 1Day of Arrival, Tashkent

Flight to Tashkent. You will arrive and pass passport and customs control. You will be met by a driver and transferred to the hotel. After breakfast and little rest, you will start the tour in the capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent by visiting the famous sights of Tashkent: Khast Imam ensemble (2007), including the Oriental library of manuscripts that keeps the Koran of caliph Usman, a visit to the oldest and largest Tashkent bazaar – Chorsu. After the descent into the famous Tashkent metro where each station amazes by its design. Transfer by metro to the place of lunch. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, a tour around the modern part of Tashkent: Amir Temur Square and Independence Square. Return to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel

Day 2Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva

After breakfast you will be transferred to the local airport and you will fly to Urgench. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Khiva. You will start the excursion in Khiva (without check in), whose inner city Ichan Kala, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will visit Kunya Ark citadel (14th century), Muhammad Aminhan madrasah (18th century), Kalta Minor minaret, Muhammad Rakhimkhan 2 madrasah (1871 – 1876), Tash Hauli palace (19th century), Allakulikhan madrasah, Said Alauddin’s mausoleum (18-20 centuries), the Shergazikhan madrasah (1718-1726) and the minaret of Islam Khoja mosque (1908-1910). Overnight in the hotel.

Day 3Khiva – Bukhara

After breakfast you will be transferred to Bukhara through the Kyzylkum desert. On the way, you will stop for lunch. Arrival in Bukhara and accommodation at the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4Bukhara

After breakfast you will start the tour in Bukhara, which is considered to be the “dome of Islam.” You will visit Lyabi House architectural complex, which includes Kukeldash madrasah, Devonbegi khanaka and Devonbegi madrasah (16th-17th centuries), you will walk along the narrow streets of Bukhara through shopping domes to the famous architectural complex Poi Kalyan, which includes Kalyan mosque, Miri madrasah Arab and Kalyan Minaret (12th – 16th centuries). On the way, you will visit Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasahs. After lunch, you will visit Ark Citadel (18th – early 20th centuries) and the mausoleum of the Samanid dynasty. Dinner and folklore show at the Devonbegi Madrasah. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5Bukhara – Nurata – Yurt Camp

After breakfast, transfer to Nurata – the city in the Navoiy region. On the way visit the ceramic atelier in Gijduvan and the gorge Sarmishay that is famous for its petroglyphs. Arrival in Nurata. After lunch the excursion in Chashma. Transfer to the yurt camp. Overnight in the yurt camp.

Day 6Yurt Camp – Samarkand

Breakfast at the camp. Free time near the Aydarkul Lake. Picnic near the lake Aydarkul. After lunch drive to Samarkand. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, hotel check-in. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 7Samarkand

After breakfast, you will start the excursion in one of the oldest cities in the world, which is considered the pearl of the Orient – Samarkand. You will visit such famous sights as the tomb of Temurids – Gur Emir (1404), Registan Square (1415-1660), which includes three madrassas – Ulugbek (1417), Sher Dor (1636) and Tilla Kori (1660). You will walk along Tashkent street to the famous mosque built by Amir Temur for his beloved wife – Bibi Khanym (1404). After lunch, you will have time for shopping in the Siab market, where you can feel the national atmosphere. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 8Samarkand - Tashkent

After breakfast hotel check out. Continuation of the tour in Samarkand. Visit the necropolis Shakhi Zinda (14-15 cc.), the medieval observatory of Ulugbek and Samarkand paper factory “Meros”. After lunch transfer to Tashkent. Upon arrival hotel check-in.

Day 9Day of Departure, Tashkent

After breakfast transfer to the International Airport and departure.
